Initial complaint: My son did not want to do any close work at school ie. reading, math, etc. My occupational therapist had been working with him and noticed that his right eye would drift outward when an object approached him @ approximately 13 inches away. I was referred to Dr. Goldstein and it was determined he 1) was farsighted and 2) was seeing double at approx 13 inches. Did thearpy help? We had wonderful results! The glasses definately helped with close work at school and the teachers confirmed this. After our sessions were completed, Dr. Goldstein said he did extremely well and on retest he saw double at 3 inches away - which is normal. He has so much control of his eyes now and can scan books (words) for reading. Would you recommend vision therapy to others with the same complaints? I have already recommended a few people to this practice. I am thrilled with the results and Dr. Goldstein is great with children. - one other note - there is "homework" with this therapy and I believe why my son had such great results is due to diligence of working with him daily.
