Our new office is located within the Palmer Eyecare Center: Dr. Goldstein 240 Middletown Ave, route 16
East Hampton, CT 06424
We have some exciting news! Dr. Michael Goldstein is moving his practice to a new location in East Hampton, CT.
We are carrying over Dr. Goldstein’s schedule to the new location at 240 Middletown Avenue in East Hampton, at the junction of Rt. 16 and Rt. 66. It is about 15 miles from the Rocky Hill office. The phone number has not changed and is 860-529-4261.
The new location adds state-of-the-art retinal imaging capabilities to more accurately diagnose and monitor eye conditions. Diabetics, who should have their eyes examined every year, are at risk of serious vision loss if their diabetes is not controlled. Annual eye examinations are the best way to know if medications are working as prescribed and are required by all endocrinologists and physicians. Glaucoma is a silent eye disease that, if undetected, that can also cause serious loss of vision. Early detection and treatment is critical to prevent vision loss. Macular degeneration, which leads to loss of central vision, may be the most serious and most difficult eye disease to control, but with early detection and treatment, its progression can be slowed significantly. All of these eye diseases have hereditary components, so if someone in your family has had the disease, your chance of developing it is greatly increased. The confocal laser imaging systems at the new location have the highest resolution available anywhere to detect the earliest changes in your eyes so that we may safeguard your vision.
We continue to diagnose and treat eye allergies and infections. Cataracts are referred to surgical specialists in your area. As we get older, everyone experiences problems with dry, scratchy eyes. We treat that, too. We will still offer 24-hour emergency coverage if you have an emergency after hours.
The primary reason to see an eye doctor is for clear, comfortable vision. Our promise to you is to do just that. With eyeglasses, contact lenses and vision training, we will solve your vision problems.
